Dealing with hurricanes is part of normal life while living in Florida. Afforded the opportunity to work on numerous graphics, front page illustrations, and full page in-depth graphics, just a few are featured below.
The Science of Storms

Covering the science behind hurricanes gives 'sort of' a school lesson to readers. Although a separate Hurricane Guide was provided, this front page infographic touches on more technical parts of the storm season. This infographic received an Award of Excellence from SND.

Earlier versions

Combining, organizing, and eliminating content is always the hardest balance. Once the angled vertical line was added, it created a strong eye flow and powerful connection between the hurricane image and individual graphic chunks.

Hurricane Survival Guide covers

Every year at the start of hurricane season, The Orlando Sentinel publishes a Hurricane Survival Guide. Above are the two covers I designed with a similar Las Vegas theme (theme provided, but actual concept designs were personally created). 3d software was utilized for both cover designs.
