This front page infographic was created in Illustrator with the main image being built in a 3d program. The system, WeatherFlow, measures wind speeds and could help to reduce insurance rates. These systems are located all along the coasts of the United States.
Sketch and building 3d pieces
Layout from the initial sketch to final changed drastically. It was determined that the story placement should be on the left with the main 3d image on the right. This helped to frame the composition. Furthermore, the pieces were created with specific understanding of how each would need to be extruded, lathed, and beveled within the 3d program.
